Maple, Red
Height 60-90 ft. Moderate to fast growing. Full sun to part shade. Able to grow on a wide variety of soil types. Leaves turn a brilliant red early in the fall. Used as a landscape tree, for re-vegetation, and is a valuable riparian buffer plant due to it’s tolerance of wet soils. The wood is not considered good for lumber or veneer. Seeds provide food for squirrels and some birds. Not preferred by deer as a browse source so it is considered deer resistant. Note: No shipping on seedlings.
